How Will We Learn Without a Pencil?!

My Students

I teach a fun, active group of 25 second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!

My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.

They need engaging ways to practice the skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!

They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.

My Project

I spend a lot of time planning and preparing engaging activities for my students in my classroom. I always have something fun up my sleeve to excite them. There is one problem though, without these basic supplies, we can't do our fun activities!

Children shouldn't have to worry about whether or not they have a pencil to complete their work.

I want to provide my students with the basic supplies they need to complete activities. This is why we need pencils and art markers. Second graders aren't made to sit and work in one place. They need to move often. These clipboards will help the students find a comfortable place to sit and work!

We need chart paper to create anchor charts. The kids love helping make reference posters that are hanging in our room. It makes them more excited to use them. They take ownership over the poster and their learning.
