My Project
My students are passionate about healthcare and eager to develop real-world skills that will help them succeed in their future careers. Most of my students have aspirations to work in hospitals, clinics, or emergency services, and this hands-on training will give them a head start. The blood pressure cuffs and timers will provide hands-on learning experiences that help students develop practical skills in measuring vital signs. Instead of just reading about the process or watching videos, they will be able to practice in real-time, improving their accuracy, confidence, and competency in assessing a patient’s cardiovascular health.
These resources will allow students to learn both manual and automatic blood pressure measurement techniques, helping them understand systolic and diastolic readings.
The timers will help to accurately count pulse rates and respiratory rates, which are critical in patient assessment.
Additionally, they come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, bringing unique perspectives and dedication to their learning. Providing them with these tools ensures that all students, regardless of resources, have equal opportunities to develop life-saving skills.
