Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I certify my sophomores in Health class. I then certify them again before they graduate and head out into the world. I certify the coaches, Health and PE teachers, administrators, and soon to be safety officers within our district.
Our mannequins are taking a beating, so we need a few extra CPR mannequins!
My students are at the age where they want to get summer jobs. They need to be certified. NY made it mandatory that we teach compression only CPR. I thought why not do the whole certification class and make it easier for the students. It works out great, but sometimes I need supplies. The mannequins show the students correct hand positioning and how to save a person's life.
