How Many Elements Can You Name?

Help me give my students a foundation in understanding the world around us from a chemical perspective. The Periodic Table of Elements is an essential part of a Science classroom and used daily!

My Project

The large visual of the Periodic Table is inviting and a frequent reminder of the building blocks of all living AND non-living things. Students will learn names, symbols, trends and research the history of the table and its elements. This periodic table is essential to any physical science classroom.

I have spent the last four years teaching high school Chemistry and recently changed school districts and will be teaching middle school science.

My walls are bare! The large periodic table and the student copies will be used to seek the history, organization, and trends of the elements.

After our fundamental unit on the elements, our study of Chemistry segues into acids and bases. We will determine the pH of solutions, soil and pond water.
