My Students

What would the world be like without color? Just like artists paint with color, musicians use "color parts" to add depth to percussion pieces.

My students attend a school in Washington, DC.

They love to come to music because they get to express themselves through movement, singing, instruments, and games. In my class, the students find new and exciting ways of expressing themselves, learning creativity and technical skills along the way.

My Project

These auxiliary percussion instruments will allow my students to tell stories through music in new and exciting ways. Though accompanying their singing and speaking with xylophones and drums is great, these percussion instruments add new layers to the music, enabling my students to experiment with new sounds.

These instruments will let my students be even more creative with compositions.

Students will be able to try new ways of playing rhythms and bringing out different sections in the music.
