My students need Election skills workbooks to help them understand this process that we are going through in the country and math skills books to help with hands-on learning.
In our classroom, we work hard to make our learning as relevant to our everyday life. My students are very hands-on learners. Election and Social Study skills are important to helping the class relate the learning to real life experiences. These skills books will help us in our government and election process unit. It will help to truly understand what all the talk is around them and the election process. It will help them understand how this affects them now and in the future.
My Project
My students are hearing a lot about the election that is going on in this country from every adult around them and on TV. However, they don't really understand what it actually means or what it is all about. They also need to understand that the outcome affects them as children now and for years to come. These Elections skills books will help us in our unit on government and the election process. The Math skills books will help us in our addition/subtraction skills all year long in which is a major concept for us to master as second graders.
