My Students
My classroom is very active and innovative. We work hard each day to maximize instructional time. My class is so excited to come to school everything. Their little eyes light up when they are challenged!
My students are vivacious third graders who are taking learning into their own hands.
I have never met a group of kids who are so internally motivated to succeed. They walk into my room each day with their eyes very wide and ready to learn. I love being their teacher and seeing them learn and grow each day. They need resources to learn about the human body.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will allow my students to better understand the human body and how it works. I am asking for a What's Inside Me? Apron; 4 Take-Apart Human Body Models, and a Read About Science-Learning Center: Human Body read alongs. These resoures will allow them to look inside the human body and will enable them to create questions about their body and actively learn to help answer their own questions. I hope these materials will create future doctors.
Recently, I fell very ill with pneumonia.
I was hospitalized and out of the classroom for over a week. This was scary for a very healthy 29 year old. When I returned, my class was so excited to see me. We just so happened to be starting a unit on the human body. Me being sick sparked so many questions in their little minds. I can explain it all day, but I really feel having these materials will better allow them to understand the human body.
