My Students
I have the pleasure of teaching a wonderful set of students in my 8th Grade U.S. History class! My school has a very diverse student population in a low-income area, where every student in the school gets free or reduced lunch. My students are smart, involved, and always looking to see how they can make a difference in the world. I have seen the wonder of discovery in my students' eyes, and I want to continue down that path.
I have students that are hungry to learn.
I want to feed them with as many tools as possible to bring the wealth of human knowledge to their fingertips. I feel as though the 8th grade is a very pivotal time for a young student. Their hunger is either going to be fostered into something truly magical or will fizzle out if not addressed by modern means. I know I have some future leaders of society in my room, and I want to help them along!
My Project
This is a project that will help build up my students' knowledge of our nation's history by allowing them more access to the great resources available to them on the internet. There are many ways these versatile machines can be utilized in my classroom, from conducting research to creating collaborative online projects with other students.
Chromebooks are the key to unlock the unlimited potential in my students.
They are intelligent, creative citizens of the digital age that are in desperate need of tech-savvy educators to create a richer, more engaging educational experience. These Chromebooks will assist me in achieving that goal.
