My students deserve the best materials and supplies for their learning. I teach honors biology to high school freshman and earth science to high school sophomores. We have many high needs students.
Our school focuses on students for whom a smooth transition into post-secondary education is challenging: low-income students, minority students, English Language learners, and first-generation, college-bound students.
The resources needed for this project are glow germ gel that shows up under UV lamps, the UV lamps and hand soap. This project is designed to show students the importance of hand washing and how quickly and easily germs spread. With the incidence of disease and viruses like H1N1 so prominent in the news, students need to understand how important proper hand washing is. This project helps students see the spread of disease first hand.
Your help will ensure that my students gain an understanding of the importance of hand washing and personal care. Students will have hands on experience with the simulated spread of disease.
