We've won half the battle. My students and I have access to the technology to project Power Point presentations, video clips, notes, etc., however, there is no screen on which to project our work! Help us see the big picture in the classroom!
My students are high school juniors attending a public, neighborhood school in a big city in Illinois.
They are honors, regular and special education students, all of whom appreciate the use of various technologies in class. While the school is able to provide some technology and resources, it is lacking in some areas.
My Project
In order to differentiate instruction, I try to mix up my delivery. Often, I will model assignments and tasks on the overhead projector, showing students what I mean by "annotating a text" or illustrating the process of "free writing". I often try to show documentary or film clips or project artwork to accompany a literature lesson and a projector screen is essential for these lessons. It would be a shame to let the resources that we do have available go to waste. What good is an overhead or LCD projector without the screen to project images upon!?
Help bring this technology to the students fully by funding a screen and a projector cart.
This way, we can utilize the technology more readily and effectively. Thank you!
