My students need a wireless projector as our outdated televisions are not smart ready nor are they portable. My walls are covered in built-in bulletin boards with information and a screen is necessary to view content.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are in the lovely East End community in Houston. Our population consists of families with one source of income or two parents working minimum wage jobs. My students are curious and eager to learn but lack opportunities at home to expand their understanding of the world around them. Most of them do not take family vacations outside of the city. The school is considered to be in a low income area with a large percentage of the students receiving financial aid of some kind.
My Project
Access to video content broadens our understanding of concepts as we can see what life in a rain forest sounds like and we can see how snow is made as water begins to crystallize. Preschoolers learn through concrete examples. Videos enhance our hands-on experiences.
My hope is to integrate videos depicting a real-life example of the content we are learning in the classroom.
In a city well known for its space program, my school has video equipment from the 90's! Please fund our technology gap. We will use the wireless projector equipment throughout our curriculum areas such as math, science, and social studies.
