My Students
My students are amazing Kindergarten though 4th graders who are excited about school and learning. I teach ELA and Math intervention to my students and they enjoy learning and participating in school. My school is located in Cankton, Louisiana, in south Louisiana, and many of my students are at-risk. The parents and guardians of my students are highly supportive and want the best education for their child. Having such supportive parents has made teaching a partnership with them, and made teaching the students more meaningful.
My Project
Hot Dots is a reading and math skills set that uses these particular pens to indicate right or wrong answers. The pens are interactive, talking pens!
Students simply press the talking Hot Dots Pen to any answer for an immediate audio and visual response.
Lessons cover comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, and more
Hot Dots makes the perfect activity. I have 100 grade-appropriate lessons but no working pens.
The students absolutely love Hot Dots and it making learning interactive and immediate. Having the pens would be such a blessing to my students!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
