My Students

As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school, I try to provide my students with the best age appropriate materials and learning experiences to establish and foster a love of learning at a young age. Teaching All Day Kindergarten has its own special sets of challenges, especially finding meaningful ways to keep young minds engaged.

My students are excited to begin their educational journey; their smiling faces, kind hearts, and desire to learn are the reason I love what I do.

My Project

My students need to find learning fun! They will be excited to "play" with the Hot Dots pens and books without even knowing that they are learning, thus building their knowledge of literacy, math, and technology in a fun and age appropriate way. Being able to incorporate technology into teaching, especially at such a young age, will help give them an advantage in school and society.

These tools will help my students develop their young minds and prepare them for the future.

Teaching in non-traditional ways will help my students learn and retain the materials and concepts in ways that teacher-facilitated learning could not accomplish.
