This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are preparing to launch a powerful and thought-provoking unit titled Hope and Human Rights. This unit encourages students to explore themes such as fairness, equality, resilience, and the power of individuals to effect change in their communities and the world. The Esperanza Rising class book set is going to be used for read aloud, small group discussions, and independent reading activities. By having Esperanza Rising in both English and Spanish, all of my students will be able to access and participate fully.
