My Project

I am a speech-language pathologist working with special education and regular education students with a wide range of disabilities. They LIVE for coming to therapy! Many of my students come from homes where they do not have access to these amazing materials and toys. Pretend play is one of the best ways to elicit functional language skills! These play based materials will give my students the opportunity to work on requesting, following directions, social skills, making choices, recall, and so much more! The cause/effect toys will allow my non-speaking, multiply disabled students great opportunities to work on reciprocal play skills, requesting "more," and provide so many examples of basic linguistic concepts (top, bottom, on, off, stop, go, open, shut, etc.).

These materials will provide my students with appropriate play-based, language rich speech therapy sessions that they deserve!
