This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Did you ever watch a news show about a historical event? Maybe listen to your parents, or grandparents discussing what happened? A lot of my students have some of the same questions about events that happened long before they were even born.

My students are bright, inquisitive learners and crave for that information provided by books.

Many of my students don't have access to books at home and rely on the school library to check out quality books. There is a buzz and excitement in our school to learn from the past.

My Project

Our library has 675 students come through the door each week to see the latest and greatest books. I have a book shelf just waiting for these new history books. Just as soon as you walk in the door of the library, I have a shelf that I will display the new books that my students deserve to read.

With your donation, students here will be able to delve in to history, and maybe make history of their own someday.

By understanding more about history, my students will be well-rounded students, educationally sound, and ready to be our future leaders!
