it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading is more fun when kids want to do it—and nothing gets them turning pages like a good book series! My students light up when they discover a book they love, and that spark grows even brighter when they know there’s another one in the series waiting for them. Series like Dog Man, Star Friends, and Goosebumps keep their interest and motivation even higher.
With these popular titles, students will explore stories that match their interests, support their reading growth, and build confidence.
These books will be available in our class library for independent reading time, book clubs, and special rewards for showing reading effort. Series books are a powerful way to support comprehension, vocabulary development, and reading fluency—all while making reading fun!
This project will especially benefit my reluctant readers, who often feel more comfortable returning to familiar characters and predictable story patterns. For my English learners and students with IEPs, series books provide language-rich opportunities that build background knowledge and reading stamina.
By bringing these beloved books into our classroom, I’ll be giving my students a chance to fall in love with reading—and keep coming back for more.
