This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting fishing equipment, fishing rods, practice plugs, and bobbers, for my PE class to introduce students to the skills and benefits of fishing. These items will provide students with hands-on experience, promoting physical activity, patience, and perseverance. My goal is to foster teamwork, build self-confidence, and encourage outdoor exploration, all while helping students develop lifelong skills. My students are unique, coming from diverse backgrounds, and many have limited access to outdoor recreational activities.

Fishing is a fun and engaging way to teach students not only physical skills but also the importance of patience, responsibility, and respect for nature.

By providing this equipment, we can give students the chance to connect with the outdoors and discover a new passion that may last a lifetime.
