My Project
Hooked on Books is a place for 2nd and 3rd graders to read and enjoy books in our After School Book Club. Students decide what book they want to read and they get to socialize, share and grow as readers. Students have fun getting together and chatting about books! We focus on different roles: Leader, Connector, Questioner, Clarifier, Summarizer and Predictor. Hooked on Books provide accountability for students in reading and reading comprehension. With these new books, my students will be able to choose a variety of fiction or nonfiction books to read independently!
This classroom project was brought to life by Hawai'i State Department of Education.
