it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For my class project, "Hooked On Books! I've Got My Sight Set On You!," I'm asking for sight word readers and guided reading little readers. My goal is to immerse my little learners with books geared toward their age and reading level. I want to expose my students to books that contain the sight words they are learning. These books are books that they will be able to read themselves. This will bring about a boost in their self esteem and self confidence in their abilities. My students are eager learners. Their minds are like sponges, soaking in new information every day. These books will be a fantastic addition to our classroom library and a motivator for my students to continue to work hard so they can read these books themselves.
