My Project
Donors, your generous support will directly contribute to a deeply meaningful Veteran's Day event for our students and local heroes. Building on the success of last year's inaugural breakfast, we aim to make this a cherished tradition where students honor and connect with the veterans in our community. Our twofold goal is to ensure these brave individuals feel genuinely appreciated while fostering a profound sense of patriotism and gratitude for our freedoms among our students.
The requested patriotic supplies – plates, napkins, cups, cutlery, and tablecloths – will enable students to host a dignified and welcoming breakfast, learning the valuable act of serving those who have served us.
Decorating with flag pennants, paper fans, star garlands, streamers, and balloons will create a visually impactful and celebratory atmosphere, reinforcing the significance of the day.
Presenting each veteran with a small American flag on a stick and a flag-themed ballpoint pen, perhaps accompanied by student-written thank-you notes adorned with heart stickers and presented in patriotic goodie bags, offers tangible expressions of gratitude. This interaction allows students to personally convey their appreciation and provides veterans with a keepsake. By actively participating in the breakfast and assembly, our students will gain a firsthand understanding of the importance of patriotism and the sacrifices made by our veterans, forging a powerful connection with these remarkable individuals. Your contribution will make this vital experience possible.
