Help me give my students the chance to take initiative, practice leadership, & improve their school community while completing their community service hours as required by the National Elementary Honor Society!
The 5th grade members of the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) are excited to embark on two impactful service projects this spring, and we are seeking your support to make these efforts a success.
Your generous donation will not only help provide the necessary materials for these projects, but it will also empower our students to engage in community service, develop leadership skills, and demonstrate their appreciation for their teachers and school environment.
Our first project is "Clean Up Day" in April, where students will take the lead in cleaning up our school grounds, including the field, playgrounds, and other outdoor areas. To ensure the students are equipped to tackle the job safely and effectively, we are requesting support to help purchase gloves, trash bags, grabbers, and other cleaning supplies.
The second project is for Teacher’s Appreciation Week in May. Our NEHS members have expressed a strong desire to do something special for our hardworking teachers. We have decided to create personalized "If You Give a Teacher a Cookie" books. Attached to the books will be small tokens of appreciation like tea bags, socks, and cookies of course! Students will be coauthoring, designing, printing, assembling, and distributing these books, making the project even more meaningful. For this, we need card stock, markers, book covers, and the treats we would like to attach.
The impact of these efforts will be felt throughout our school community, fostering a sense of pride and togetherness. We truly appreciate your support in helping these projects come to life!
