This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is made up of 15 full day Pre-K students, with and without disabilities. It is a diverse group of children with different races and ethnicities. All of my students come from low income families, from the City of Springfield. Preschool is a child's first school experience and my goal is to lay the foundation for a love for learning. At this time, we are currently learning in a remotely, logging into a daily Zoom session. Now, more than ever, my students need the support of materials for their home to engage in fun, hands on learning games and visual supports to meet the individual needs of my students.
Even though "school" is not the same, my students continue to surprise me each day with their positivity and excitement for learning!
They are full of smiles entering each and every Zoom session. They work hard to follow along while we read stories, play virtual games, and learn new skills each week.
My Project
These materials will help me create hand made projects for my students to work on during our remote learning sessions. Lamination sheets help create reusable documents such as name tags, traceable sheets, and sturdy learning visuals to support my student's special education learning objectives. The colored creates visuals that are colorful and excited for the children to work with.
Homemade from the heart!
As a teacher, I take great pride in providing hand made materials for my students to use during our remote learning sessions. These visual supports help create engaging lessons and additional practice tools for the children and their families to continue the learning process, once the computer session has ended for the day.
