Home Sweet Classroom

My students need a classroom rug to help define their individual space. It is important for young children to have a sense of personal space. A classroom rug is a great way to promote positive behavior.

My Students

Our school is located in a small rural community. The students who attend our school come from a variety of economic backgrounds. The one thing my students have in common is their love for school and learning.

My students begin each day full of enthusiasm, smiles, and an eagerness to learn.

By engaging them in a positive way in an environment that enhances their love of learning I look forward to watching them grow and learn this school year. As their classroom teacher, it is my role to develop the type of environment in which they will have a meaningful learning experience and continue their love of learning.

My Project

A classroom meeting area changes the entire climate from an institutional setting to a home where learning continues to happen. A meeting/carpet area is essential in getting every school day off to a great start. Coming together to share, sing, and laugh can make a huge difference in a young child's day.

Carpet time is a time for learning new things, sharing, listening, and enjoying friends in a supportive and safe environment.

All of these activities are important and necessary in the development and growth of the young child.

A classroom carpet is a great way to promote positive behavior and create a warm friendly environment in which to learn and grow.
