Home Organization Supplies for a Productive Virtual Learning Bilingual Class

Help me give my students extra supplies including a lap desk and other tools to help them productively learn at home.

My Students

I teach a K-2 bilingual class in an urban school with 85% of the students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. All of my students are brand new to the United States. My students enter my classroom with little or no English. Many of them have never had school experience in their native country. It is my job to prepare them for the regular education classroom.

My students are currently from 4 different countries, speaking 3 different languages.

My students are all eager and excited to learn.

My Project

My students will be learning from home starting in September. They have all come to the United States during the past year and have limited supplies at home. All families are struggling due to low employment because of COVID.

They do not have the supplies they need at home to ensure a successful learning experience for their children.

I have chosen to add a few more items that will help with their education, such as yearly calendars, a lap desk, and also a project case to keep their materials organized.
