Home Library Dreams

Help me give my students books that they can bring home to begin their own at home library. We have a great library in our classroom, but every child should have books at home that they can enjoy.

My Students

This year our fourth grade class is a beautiful mix of our previous 3rd grade class, and new scholars from the community to our school. After a whirlwind of a year, our students have shown us their true passion for learning through perseverance and community strength.

Our students are a mix of future entrepreneurs, doctors, musicians, world leaders, teachers and more.

They have a passion for music and dance. They have incredible rhythm and make everyday so much fun. They love to show kindness and compassion to one another as well as to their teachers.

Our students have a great drive to learn and grow but are held back by economic difficulties. Many of our students don't have any books at home but have a desire to read.

My Project

Many of our students do not have books at home. Our classroom library is limited and they have such a desire to read and grow in literacy.

Every child needs an at home library that they are proud of and can go back to whenever they want to read.

My students can can check out books from the classroom but they would love to have books to call their own.

We have some students who's home lives are constantly fluctuating and a book is their only escape from difficult situation. To encourage the joy of reading I would love to send my students home with new books that they can be proud to have.
