Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are learning from home this trimester with every student using a Chromebook borrowed from the district. They’re excited, curious, and nervous as we’re learning in this new environment.
I have some students who will thrive while learning from home, but I also have students who will have difficulties.
My goal is to supply each student with whiteboards, pens, erasers, watercolors, and paper to make learning at home exciting and enjoyable.
My Project
Students will be able to use the whiteboard for math and language arts activities. Whiteboards are an easy tool for students to use and show their work while being online. There are no little pieces to lose and students can use the boards on their own.
Art is so important at this time for children and watercolors are an easy way to help students express themselves.
Students will need a break from academics and their tech devices and painting can have that calming effect. Creating art together and on their own will help my students to stay focused on our year together.
