Home Away From Home

Help me give my students colorful posters that are both educational and motivational, calm lighting and plants to make it like a home away from home.

My Project

Think about your favorite room in your house. What makes it so special? The decor? The lighting? The atmosphere?

We are going to transform the classroom into a home away form home for my new middle school students.

We will hang colorful posters which will help the scholars both learn the mathematical concepts as well as be reminded that we are all mathematicians and must persevere in order to be successful. We will add string lights to the ceiling to reduce the harsh overhead lighting. We will add plants (yes, artificial but still nice), to make the space warm and inviting.

Middle schoolers don't usually even like to go to school, but this classroom will be different. And when they are present and comfortable, they will be able to learn so much more.
