Holy Mola! Bringing Kuna Indian Molas to the Art Classroom!

Help me give my students scissors, glue sticks, black construction paper, colored paper, white drawing paper, pencils, erasers, paint markers, and Sharpies to complete their beautiful Kuna Indian Mola artwork!

My Project

The resources provided through your contributions will give my art students the chance to experience the beautiful art of Mola created by the Kuna Indians in Central Panama. After taking some time exploring the art form and talking about the cultural significance, history, and processes involved, my students will be able to take what they've learned and use it to create their very own, truly one-of-a-kind Mola! Students will utilize peer collaboration, 21st-century interactive engagements, critical-thinking activities and of course creative expression to accomplish their goal. Here's where we need your help!

Your donation and support will go towards the purchase of shaping scissors, glue sticks, paint makers, erasers, pencils, construction paper, paper, tag board, and Sharpies.

These resources will go directly into the students' hands and will be used to complete their beautiful and colorful artworks. Please consider helping my students experience this, perhaps, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

I want my donors to know that you aren't simply giving to my project to enrich my visual arts classroom, you're giving to it to help build confidence in my students. They deserve to believe their art matters, that to know that even though art may not be their strongest gift, they can still find enjoyment and fulfillment in it.
