This project is designed to fulfill the basic needs of our music classroom. I am requesting materials to replace broken rhythm sticks and to begin building a small mariachi ensemble using instruments like shakers and ukuleles. These tools will help bring energy, cultural richness, and new musical opportunities to our students.
My students were excited by the idea but lacked the resources to participate fully.
With your support, they’ll be able to experience the joy of making music together with the proper tools. Last year, I discovered a piece of music that required 30 triangles—how wonderful it is to see that such instruments are now an option for our donors!
Many of my students have had minimal access to music education beyond what they encounter in everyday media. This project aims to give them hands-on experiences, introduce them to different musical styles and cultures, and nurture a lifelong love of music.
