Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

During this time of the year there is a lot of talk about the anticipation of gifts. While it is an exciting time for some, it can also be a time of worry and uncertainty for others.

I am unsure of how the holiday will look for some of my students so I am requesting help in providing them with a gift while also teaching them that giving comes from our hearts.

By spreading some holiday cheer, I am building relationships with my students and celebrating their hard work.

I would love to be able to gift each of my students a copy of As Cool As It Gets for them to keep. This book teaches them about ways to give to others, whether it be big or small, and the impact it can have.

In addition to this, I am requesting the craft ornaments so that my students may decorate and give them to others. Giving others an ornament they created, will allow my students to also build positive relationships within our school community and their families.

In the end, I would love to give my students a gift that I have chosen for all of them. The plushy so that they can have to hold, as the winter break means no school, and school for some means consistency and security. The building blocks and slime are so my students have a hands-on break item to use at home. The cookies add a sweet treat for them to have while on winter break.

I truly appreciate your help in spreading kindness to my students.
