My Project
In our preschool, we’re honored to work with a wonderful group of students, each bringing unique strengths and facing their own challenges. Some of our students are on the autism spectrum, some have hearing or communication impairments, and others manage physical disabilities that make everyday tasks like walking or feeding themselves more difficult. I feel truly fortunate to support these exceptional young learners in our special education classroom.
Living in rural Alaska, however, creates extra hurdles in accessing learning resources.
One impactful way to support our students is by providing them with books and engaging toys. Having access to STEM toys and books at home would enrich their learning experiences, foster creativity outside of school, and help them explore and connect with the world around them.
My hope is for each of my students to find joy in learning, and with these materials, we can make that joy even more accessible and meaningful.
