Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students will benefit from all these resources to create the pinata by hand from scratch. During the month of December, Hispanic families get together and make pinatas by hand, thus creating a sense of community and unity.

Students will have the commitment, responsibility and motivation of ownership of the project.

They will create their own glue, tissue paper and different shapes of pinatas with candy and toys inside.

Many of our students are Spanish speakers and by engaging in cultural activities, they remember and maintain their traditions that can be long forgotten by subsequent generations.
