it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am happy to be teaching Pre-K through 2nd Grade! My students are a diverse group with varying skill levels. We are very lucky to have a basketball team, coed soccer team, and girls soccer team at our school that competes against other schools in our district.
Students are most excited when they are able to experience new challenges and see themselves grow!
Most of them have never been exposed to structured play or organized games. All students deserve to be exposed to a full, rich curriculum that develops them into lifelong movers. Appreciating physical activity is important to a healthy lifestyle.
My Project
My students have never had the opportunity to learn how to play golf because we do not have the equipment. Your contribution will provide the students with golf clubs, golf balls, and the holes required for them to learn the basics of the sport.
Many of the students have never heard of golf or had the opportunity to learn the game.
Students not only will be able to learn how to play golf but also work on their hand eye coordination. They will be able to improve their skills as they create their own mini golf course to practice! New York City Public School teachers did not receive any funds for classroom resources or supplies this school year. Your contribution will help me introduce my students to a new game and set of physical skills. Thank you!
