My Project

I teach second graders. These second graders are so excited to participate in school when hands-on approaches and technology are involved. They are smart and creative. They are excited to participate in writer's workshop and publish all types of stories and create all types of art. They are excited to learn math skills, spelling, grammar, reading, vocabulary, and physical skills.

Second graders are the perfect age to foster a love of learning that should continue throughout their lives.

They live in view of the beautiful mountains and are active every minute of the day. Their favorite time is when we get together in our classroom for read aloud. They laugh and joke and support each other.

This project has a little bit of everything that we need and want to make our classroom a fun place to learn. For example, we need water bottle mounts to attach to student desks. We need fun math tools like a graph chart, Headbanz, and Hexbugs to help us in science and math.

We also need gift cards for student rewards for great behavior and to be an incentive for great project work. We need organizational supplies like magnets to keep our classroom running. This project requests these items and a variety of other items to help us. We appreciate you considering supporting our class. We couldn't do everything we do without donors like you.
