Help me give my students headphones to level the playing field. My special needs students have sensory issues that keeps them from focusing on their tasks. Headphones will cancel the extraneous noise and lead them to success.
We are requesting headphones and noise cancelling headphones to help our students focus on their assignments and limit distractions in the classroom. Many assignments required by our district are technology based. Headphones help each student listen to the assignments at a level that is comfortable for them.
Many of our special needs students have sensory issues that can cause extreme anxiety.
During the regular class day there is movement and multiple assignments going on at once. When special needs students have sensory issues, any movement or noise can become a distraction and sometimes those distractions can lead to anxiety. To make sure our special needs students are included and in the least restrictive environment, these headphones can make a world of difference.
