This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are underrepresented, middle school children that enjoy conversations, collaboration, and the chance to prove that they are not the statistic given to them by society.
My middle school children are driven, want to learn, and want to be given the chance of achieving more than what many of their parents were not able to accomplish.
My students deserve an environment where they will thrive as individuals and as a community of learners and feel proud to belong at school!
My Project
As spring time approaches, it becomes a clear, stay focused game for our students. The last stretch of the school year tends to be the one that students struggle more in keeping themselves motivated in school. Having certain prizes for collaboration and for engagement can help students keep focused in class. Middle school students like stickers and having cool stickers as a prize can help them keep them engaged and participating in class. Having a cell phone jail, can also motivate students to keep off their phones and fully engage in learning.
