Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With these materials I can create the first ever middle school Art History class at Country Club Middle School! The Art History curriculum would be created from scratch, giving me the ability to make something that is fun and engaging. Through the History of Art we can learn about human history, culture, society, government, and expression while accessing student's creativity.
I will create a classroom where my students can explore History through art in a fun and new way while fostering a love of learning!
My middle schoolers will be able to use what they have learned from this course to help them better understand and expand upon the content they are learning in every subject area!. Help them feel like they are a part of the prehistoric era through cave paintings, like they are renaissance thinkers with Leonardo Da Vinci, like they are fighting for freedom during the French Revolution, like the are breaking the rules of art and beauty with Picasso!
