it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my classroom starts and ends with energetic students. At the end of the school year I would love your my students to be able to applied what they learn in history through an art mural. My biggest challenge is that the school does not provided canvas, paint, or paint brushes.
I have 29 fourth grades and 3 mainstreaming students.
They enjoy having discussions about what we are learning in all subject area. They enjoy working in teams and love a class challenge. The school is located in a city that does not have many resources or things to do. The school has about 600 students. Most of my students have never experienced things like camping or going to the mountains to play in the snow. They are very limited in their personal experience about what amazing things are out there.
My Project
Image my students being empowered through art! My students will use the canvas, paint, and paint brushes to convey their learning about the certain concept in California history. They will use the material to create a mural that will represent their understand about the concept in history. They will learn to how intergrade history and art.
The donation will improve my classroom because it will give my students another opportunity for them to be able to show their understand of California history.
It will change my students' lives for the better because it will allow for them to be able to find an interest in art they thought they never had.
