Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our middle school is a campus in a high-poverty area, serving 1,100 students in grades 6 through 8. Over 88% of our students participate in the free or reduced-price lunch program. This is our fourth year open and we continue to build our own sense of family and community in order to serve a diverse population of students. Our learning community values family, integrity, respect, strength, and teamwork. We create engaging learning environments that foster positive relationships and develop growth mindsets. My students are caring, curious, creative, and love to work together in teams. They care about leaving a positive impression and the older students serve as role models to our younger 6th graders. I truly have the best students who deserve the very best!
Please help me provide students with the supplies needed to bring their social studies projects to life!
