Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love about my students, is their eagerness to learn about social justice, human rights and understanding tolerance.
Learning about the Holocaust from a teens perspective will provide an understanding of the past and its effect on society today and how to create a more peaceful world by accepting our differences.
The teaching lessons will be interactive, engaging and collaborative. I will incorporate various teaching strategies such as making text connections, comprehending vocabulary, and citing evidence from the text to support analysis and written responses. Students will write reflective journals, participate in classroom discussions and question the reading materials using critical thinking skills.
