This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books will greatly help to enrich my History classroom! Providing beautiful visuals that students can touch and explore helps bring History to life. I hope to cultivate a huge collection of diverse books with photos and stories from around the world that my students can use as source material for projects, to help understand difficult concepts, to develop empathy and understanding of different cultures, and/or to flip through as inspiration and enrichment when they finish work early.
I want my students to know that my classroom library is a place they can go to travel through space and time - learning more about history, religion, art, society, and ultimately, themselves.
