My students need activities and texts to guide our learning during social studies.

My Students
As future fifth graders, my students are just beginning to learn about U.S. history and world geography. Our social studies text book provides some of the facts they need, but it is pretty dry. I want history to come alive by using high-interest literature.
My inner-city students are excited to learn about our country's history, but find the social studies text book pretty basic (and sometimes boring).
They often have many questions, but our social studies text just barely skims the surface of their questions.
My Project
Please help quench my students thirst for new knowledge. I am a strong believer in using real literature to foster inquiry and I have selected a variety of texts that will enrich our our social studies curriculum. The texts that I have selected will help teach the students about the Constitution, the Revolutionary War, Native Americans, the 13 colonies, and many more topics regarding our country's past.
Your donation will impact students for years to come.
By donating, you will help foster student inquiry and will allow for students to learn more about our nation's history. Please help us learn from our past!
