My Project
My students have been impacted by COVID-19 financially, and it has also affected their motivation. A large majority of them would not be able to afford the materials for this project. Silverpoint is a very unique form of drawing which I think would inspire them to be motivated.
Silverpoint is an historic form of drawing with silver on paper treated with a special ground that will accept the silver.
Sanded paper will also accept this form of mark making.
The Renaissance artists used this medium as a discipline tool because you can't really erase it. I use it for the same reason.
