Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During Hispanic Heritage Month, I want my students to be exposed to the rich cultural heritage of their classmates, promoting inclusivity and respect.
Through classroom read-aloud activities and discussions inspired by the books, students will engage in projects to understand and alleviate the challenges faced by different Hispanic communities.
We will explore themes of community support and empathy, encouraging students to take actionable steps in supporting others.
My students are resilient and eager to learn. Their unique backgrounds bring a wealth of cultural experiences that enrich our classroom. This project also includes a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, ink, and pens that will be used to purchase and print activities during this month for students to create and complete about different cultures
Hispanic Heritage Month is a unique time when my students feel they are an important part of our diversity. The t-shirts will be used throughout the month to highlight all the amazing Hispanic countries. We want to create a visually engaging and culturally rich classroom, supporting their social-emotional development.
