My Project

As a first-grade teacher, I would like to work on more social emotional issues within my classroom. I want to make it my personal mission to make every child feel important. What better way to do this than to celebrate their birthdays? Everyone has one. Everyone deserves to feel important. Everyone deserves a day to be the center of attention.

I want to make EVERY child feel special and celebrated as part of our classroom family.

My plan is to create a birthday bag for each student in my classroom. On the morning of each child's birthday, I will have the gift waiting on his or her desk. If this project is fulfilled, each student will receive the exact same items. They will receive a stress ball, a bookmark, a sticky hand, candy, a pencil, and a few other surprises in their birthday bag.

Who doesn't like a party? Help me, help them, feel special!
