My Project
My students are special ed children in functional life skills class. Their curiosity in the world around them and their smiles as they learn something new brightens my day. My goals for this project are to keep their curiosity and learning going and expand their world; therefore, they can take the classroom experiences into real life.
My classroom is like a highway with different turns and hills.
These materials will help get these children through those turns and hills. These materials will assist the children in learning for their future.
Fine motor materials will help them gain the ability to use these skills in everyday life such as writing and cutting to care for themselves in the future. The sight words game will help them learn to read books, newspapers, recipes, and other items in real life. The math materials will help them learn their numbers and time for balancing checkbooks and other everyday skills. The moose game shopping list race. Will teach them how to shop in stores for things they need such as food and clothing. The emotional behavioral materials will help them learn how to deal with their emotions in appropriate manner for real life events. Magnetic blocks will help build imagination and low to work with others. The fidget spinners will help keep them increasing. using skills for waiting in lines for their turn and increasing the ability to complete a project as their age. All these materials will help my students become productive citizens in the future.
