My Project
My students come in to my classroom every day excited to learn. They come from many different backgrounds and a variety of cultures but they are all eager to be successful and make a difference in the world. Each one has a vision for their future.
Each student has a different story but every one has a desire to learn and make someone proud.
I teach 5th grade ELA in a Title I elementary school in Florida where the majority of students receive free or reduced-price lunch. We will need highlighters in different colors for collaboration and to identify parts of the story or traits of different characters. My students love to have their work showcased and I like to put bright colors behind it to make it pop. Students love to have their families see their hard work, my goal is to have different work each quarter for family nights.
More than half of students from low‑income households
