Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My younger students have loved being able to color in music with the crayons available but my older grades have been begging for colored pencils for their projects. We do not have that reliable of a pencil sharpener so I thought that the twistable variety would work well for them to use in groups. We already have a good setup for sharing our tools with their assigned groups, so I wanted to get enough sets for them to add that to their toolbox. We also do crosswords in music for certain units and the pencils and crayons have made it hard to read the words and I thought the highlighters would be great tools to use during those projects.
Also good for them when they do a research project on an artist and need to highlight important information!
