My Students

I am proud to be a teacher to such wonderful students. I teach in an extraordinarily diverse district; some of my kids live on farms, while others live in very urbanized sections of town. I get to know so many kids from such different backgrounds- it's awesome! It's a terrific place for students to learn about so many different kinds of people in this world. Students in my school exemplify friendliness and kindness. Help me make their classroom experience an excellent one.

My Project

OK, maybe students don't all LOVE math....but I try really hard to make math engaging and (sometimes) fun for my students. I spend HUNDREDS of dollars of my own money on manipulatives, classroom review games, and on basic school supplies for kids. We've run into a little snag, though. The only storage cabinet I have in my classroom is BROKEN. When kids open our classroom cabinet to get a math supply, they run the risk of the locking mechanism crashing down on their head. I want kids to feel like they can get a manipulative any time it will help them, without being afraid of getting hurt. I also need a locking filing cabinet where I can keep confidential information about my students.
